D is for Duck

Respect to Dave Wakefield for cracking this one first time.  He has set the standard.  As an aside, i’m glad Dave chose the letter ‘D’ as there’s a bit of a private joke going on between him and myself. We once worked on a job for Quaker Oats where he didn’t have the ‘D’ of the font, so the print artwork came back with spaces for any ‘D’s’ that had to be made up out of other letters. Ever since then i refer to Dave as ‘ave Wakefiel’.

Our Duck species that appears to be suffering as a result of global climate change is the Steller’s eider.  It is listed as “threatened” on the Endangered Species list, and a wildlife biologist in Alaska is studying the species to understand why it is moving towards the brink of extinction.
