H is for Hippo

 

 

Takes a while for people to get this one, but when they do they seem to like it.  A real case of needing to find the right ‘H’.  Couple of versions here.  I like the simplicity of two letters side by side with the negative space forming the teeth.  I can imagine it full bleed on a double page spread.  Be good to find large letters for this one.

Over the past 10 years there has been seven to 20 percent decline in hippo populations.  Although the causes of the population decline are known (exploitation and habitat loss), the threats have not ceased, nor is there evidence the threats will be removed in the near future.”
